SAP Materials Management (MM)

What is SAP MM?

SAP MM (Materials Management) is a module in SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) that provides companies with materials, inventory and warehouse management capabilities. Material Management as a process ensures no shortage of materials or any gaps in the supply chain process of the organization. SAP MM speeds up the procurement and material management activities, making the business run smoothly with complete time and cost efficiency. SAP MM has a really good future. The SAP technology is going to stay in the market for at least next 20 years. SAP MM is quite versatile to accommodate changes that are frequent in any business environment.

Prerequisites for attending the training

1. Business knowledge in the procurement area (MM), particularly knowledge of Product Process is required
2. 1-2 years domain experience in Procurement, Material Handling, Inventory Management is preferred
3. Graduates, preferably with BE/ Any Graduates with MBA (Management/SCM)

Job Role of SAP PS Consultant

1. Understand Business requirements from purchase and inventory planning teams
2. Map the process in SAP
3. Train concerned teams on using the SAP ERP
4. Integrate the PS module with other functional areas like production, finance, costing etc.
5. Create customer report for analysis
